The Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival
Every two years a forest festival is held at Forest Walks Lodge. The festival site has been developed by the local group Friends of Jackeys Marsh. The next festival will be held in February 2012 and will feature an environmental art exhibition as well as walks, talks, workshops and entertainment. Seasonal environmental workshops
Every season brings its changes to the forests and surrounding environment. We offer workshops featuring some of these changes led by spcialist field naturalists. The forests support abundant fungii in the winter, wildflowers in the spring, and abundent birlife in the early summer. The geology and geomorphology of the Great Western Tiers is also incredibly interesting. If your group is interested in some specialist interpretation please enquire and we will do our best to accomdate your interests.
